Jen Dupree will talk about her new novel, What Do You Want from Me? as well as explore the idea of creating empathy through reading and writing. How do writers create connection, on the page and off? What does that do to us as readers? The key, I believe, is empathy. Empathy, unlike sympathy, requires feeling connected to people or situations whether or not we have anything in common with them.
