We’re excited to share that the Southern Maine Agency on Aging (SMAA) will open a brand-new Portland Center this fall! This new location will offer many of the same services as SMAA’s Biddeford and Springvale sites, including:
- Adult Day Program for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias
- Information & resources
- Nutrition services
- Medicare counseling
- And more
With Maine home to the highest percentage of older adults in the nation, this expansion will help meet the growing demand for quality, comprehensive care—especially for those with the greatest social and economic needs.
The Adult Day Program provides engaging, personalized activities in a warm, welcoming environment, while giving caregivers valuable time to recharge.
SMAA is encouraging community members to help spread the word about the new center and its programs by sharing flyers, newsletters, and social posts.
