July 30 – Jimmy Macisso
The Macisso Brothers have been singing and playing music since childhood. Jimmy, the youngest of the three, was influenced by his older brothers. While playing as a member of the Tony Boffa Band, Jimmy accepted the challenge of filling a much needed and vacated role. Stepping out of his comfort zone Jimmy willingly exchanged his saxophone for a bass guitar, and the rest is history. From that day, Jimmy has been the bass player with vocal contributions in the “Tony Boffa Band”, and “Tony Boffa Trio”. After Tony’s retirement, Jimmy assumed the lead role of the trio now known as the “Jimmy Macisso Band” with former Miss Maine, Susie Pepper and John Hoekstra.

Author Talk May 7 with Jen Dupree

Jen Dupree, Author Talk (Choice)

Wed., May 7th

6-7PM

Jen Dupree will talk about her new novel, What Do You Want from Me? as well as explore the idea of creating empathy through reading and writing. How do writers create connection, on the page and off? What does that do to us as readers? The key, I believe, is empathy. Empathy, unlike sympathy, requires feeling connected to people or situations whether or not we have anything in common with them. Could it be that reading, always considered a solitary activity, could also be the thing that helps us feel more connected? Choice of attending in-person or over Zoom, contact Ray for the link. Call or email Ray at the Help Desk at 207-892-1908 ext. 5 or rmarcotte@windhammaine.us. Transportation may be available from Age Friendly Windham. Call 207-892-4649 FMI.
